The Wellelsey Bog is a newly installed habitat for bog plants that was created the summer for 2011. The Bog houses 29 species of plants that range from carnivourous plants like the venus fly trap and the yellow trumpts to orchids and the virginia chain fern. The bog hosts many species from all across the United States and Canada.

This catalog was created to increase knowledge about bog plants and provide the information in an easy to read and interactive form. Each plant entry contains the plant’s name, its habitat, its distribution in the United States and an interesting fact. In addition all of the plants have been divided into different characteristics that help identify the plants in the bog. So that you (the viewer) can easily browse through the plants you would like to discern.

I hope that this website can be of great use!
